These photographs are the fleeting burst of a grotesque, strange and familiar world. The extraordinary manifestations of unsurprising contexts, sparking a tangy and ambivalent thrill, between amusement and worry, that an English word sums up perfectly: weird.
Some of these images come together under the generic title of “Daily weird” because they are collected day by day in familiar, indigenous territories. Others are brought back from more or less distant journeys. The whole forms a corpus that can be assembled and explored both in classic series and/or principles of collage, summoning chance, humor and casualness. A freedom that refers to the one that precedes and motivates their capture. An ambivalent free game also at work in other ways in  drawings, video and works in volumes.
